I don’t have a sweet tooth – I am a sweet tooth. Just ask my parents. I was basically raised on pick and mix. Not because my parents thought that was a great choice, but because I was an addict. You simply couldn’t keep me away from it. Got a dollar for doing chores? Straight up to the convenience store for chocolate. Parents out of the house for two seconds? You’d find me in the kitchen cabinet closest to the ceiling, where the candies were hidden.
I’m saying this cause I want you to know that you can trust me when I recommend healthy sweets to you. I have a lot of experience and my standards are high. I am not a Masterchef tho, so these are as simple as it gets, without compromising on deliciousness. Let’s go.
These are not to be confused with standard bliss balls. They’re next level. A lot like the norwegian chocolate called Crispo in my opinion. It’s crunchy, chocolaty, melting in your mouth craziness. Salted caramel chocolate pieces This is the little angel of a kid you can bring to every party and trust he’ll behave. It’s a winner! I discovered it years back when I was living with one of my friends, and although she’s far from interested in health she asked me if I could make it for her birthday. It’s that good. It’s raw, it’s chocolaty, it’s caramelly, it’s salty, it melts on your tongue. And you can find the recipe here.
Blueberry muffins Closing this off carefully. I’m a chocolate girl by heart. If I’m ever given the choice between chocolate and something else – I will choose the C… heh. Alright, but I wanted to give you something that aren’t chocolate, cause some people prefer, idk, other things than cocoa. This is blueberry muffins! They’re not too sweet, not too dull, just perfect. I actually have them for breakfast sometimes. With a cup of tea. So British. Just like the author!
