Roasted veggies

This one goes out to all you students and other lacy fellows out there. If you’re experienced in the kitchen this is not going to come as a surprise to you, but I believe many people forget about this way of cooking. I wanted to show you guys how I prepare my vegetables almost every day. It’s as easy as it gets, and tastes so unbelievably amazing!

1. Slice up your vegetables 2. Drizzle over some oil if you want to 3. Add salt, pepper and spices 4. Roast at 210ºC (410°F) for about 40 minutes, or until they’re crispy and taaaan

This is amazing if you’re struggling with sugar cravings, as many people are killing them by eating more sweet vegetables throughout the whole day. Vegetables like sweet potato, regular potato, carrot and red onion taste unbelievably sweet when you roast them. I mean, red onion turn into caramel. It’s magic!

Use whatever spices you’ve got in your kitchen. Some of my favorites are chili, paprika, thyme, lemon pepper, curry, turmeric, cinnamon, cumin, onion, garlic and cayenne pepper. Oh! And drizzle over some lime juice as well!

Every vegetable, and even fruits, is good roasted in my opinion. So, go crazy. AND this is the perfect timing to make the soup-ish thing from one of my last posts (here). Pour it over the veggies and you’ve made yourself a meal.
