Happy gratitude day – everyday!
I guess a lot of you know by now that I’m a big believer in the law of attraction – which is a universal law that basically says like attracts like. I’m not exaggerating when I say that I live my life based on this, and it’s made a world of difference in my life and overall feeling of happiness.
Basically what I do is that I make sure I have high vibe positive feelings throughout the day, since according to this law it will attract more positive things to me. Positive thoughts and feelings attracts positive experiences. Negative attracts negative. And this is where the gratitude list comes in.
Gratitude is the most positive feeling you can ever express – and so being grateful for what you already have is essential. Not only will it bring more of those things to you, but life just gets better when we focus on what we love.
Most people that are into the law of attraction writes gratitude lists – a list of things they are grateful for. I do that every morning, and have done so for years. What happened the other day though is that I read The Magic by Rhonda Byrne, and it changed my gratitude list game completely.
My list used to look something like this:
I am grateful for my friends, kitties, clear skin, coffee, grapes, coconut conditioner, knitwear, my job … etc.
Doing it like that makes it very easy to cheat on the task, since you can easily write down words without really thinking (or feeling) to much into it. So here comes the trick; since the whole point of writing it down is to really feel the gratitude, I started adding why these things makes me happy.
So instead of writing “friends”, I now write “I’m so grateful for my friends because they always makes me laugh”. Adding the because made a world of difference!
Every morning I write down 10 things I’m grateful for, why I’m grateful for them and then read through them all when I’m done. It always makes me so happy – so even if you believe in the law of attraction or not I would definitely give it a go.
