Coconut oil is one of my best friends, and we’ve been besties for years. I mean, there’s probably nothing it can’t do. I absolutely love it – both the smell and how it makes my life so much easier. A quick google search will show you a million ways to use it, but here’s my favs:
Coconut oil contains vitamin E and fatty acids which helps in both strengthening the hair and give it a healthy shine. It also moisturises and gives it a silky smooth feel. I personally drown both my whole hair and scalp in it, massage it in, and sleep with it over night. It can be a little hard to get out of the hair, but I just shampoo twice and then do conditioner – and it works amazing for me.
I haven’t had another makeup remover in, I think, 3 years? It just works great – even on waterproof makeup. I splash a little warm water in my face, and then massage the oil on my whole face, including eyelids and lashes. Then I take a fresh washing cloth, drown it in warm water, then hold the cloth over my face for a few seconds before I wash off all my makeup. If you want to see this happening you can watch my skin care video here.
Coconut oil is my day cream, night cream and bodylotion. It is antibacterial, which is great for acne and blemished skin. It contains a lot of vitamins, including vitamin E, which is amazing for skin in general. It also penetrates deep into the skin, moisturising it on a deep level. Also, theres no chemicals in it and it makes me feel like a little soft kitty – and that’s what’s important hey.
I fry my vegetables, and sometimes fake meat, in it. Put a dash of it in cooked rice or quinoa, and grease the roasting dish with it. I basically just use it in the kitchen, whenever I dont want to use olive oil.
It’s absolutely amazing in raw candies. Everything from raw chocolate balls, twix bars – or anything else. It’s solid when it’s cold, so it holds things togetherssss.
Smooth as it is it works amazing as shaving cream both for under arms, legs and wherever you want that hair gone. I take it in to the shower, where the heat makes it runny and amazing.
